Drinks cans are collected by a relatively small number of the congregation in Dundrum Methodist Church (Dublin) - the cans are picked up from local parks and gardens, sorted and crushed, bagged and taken to the recycling plant. This has been going on for almost 10 years and the money raised amounts to more than 6,000 Euro - not bad for a load of rubbish, and good for the local environment!
